GTA 6 Projected $1.3 Billion Day-One Sales Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5's Michael De Santa (Ned Luke) predicts blockbuster sales for GTA 6, fueling anticipation among fans. This article explores Luke's predictions and insights into the game's development.

Rockstar's Unpredictable GTA 6 Approach

GTA 6's Projected $1.3 Billion Day-One Revenue

GTA 6 Projected $1.3 Billion Day-One SalesNed Luke, the voice actor behind Michael De Santa in GTA 5, boldly predicts GTA 6 will generate a staggering $1.3 billion in its first 24 hours. In a recent interview with Fall Damage, Luke expressed his confidence in the game's success, highlighting Rockstar's knack for the unexpected.

He emphasized patience, assuring fans that the wait will be worthwhile, stating, "It's going to be worth the wait. From what I've seen, it's going to be amazing." He referenced GTA 5's impressive $800 million debut in 2013, suggesting GTA 6 will significantly surpass that figure. Market research firm DFC Intelligence projects over 40 million copies sold and $3.2 billion in first-year revenue, with $1 billion attributed to pre-orders alone.

The Return of GTA 5 Characters?

GTA 6 Projected $1.3 Billion Day-One SalesLuke also offered insight into the possibility of GTA 5 characters appearing in GTA Online and potentially GTA 6. He noted Michael's absence from GTA Online, contrasting with Trevor and Franklin's appearances.

Luke hinted at Michael's possible inclusion in a future GTA Online DLC or even GTA 6 itself. While Steven Ogg (Trevor) previously suggested a "passing the torch" scenario involving Trevor's demise, Luke remained coy, stating, "Maybe [Michael, Franklin, and Trevor will be] in GTA 6... Maybe. Maybe not." This underscores Rockstar's tight-lipped approach to the game's details.

GTA 6: In the Testing Phase?

GTA 6 Projected $1.3 Billion Day-One SalesFormer Rockstar animator Mike York suggests GTA 6 is currently undergoing internal testing. In a since-deleted interview with Kiwi Talkz, York highlighted the game's unprecedented level of unpredictability, stating, "There are a lot of things that can happen that you don't really think about until some random kid in his basement tries it."

York believes the game is likely in its internal testing phase, with significant playtesting already underway. He expects further refinements and additions before release.

Rockstar Games unveiled GTA 6 with a teaser in December 2023, but details remain scarce. While a Fall 2025 release was previously speculated, no official release date has been confirmed.
