Home > News > Myst-Like Lovecraftian Point-And-Click Puzzle My Father Lied Is Coming to Android This Year
In today's crowded gaming market, finding a truly unique game can be a challenge. My Father Lied, however, stands out with its captivating story and Lovecraftian mystery. This puzzle adventure isn't just another game; it's a journey born from an indie developer's passion.
The game's creation story is fascinating. Ahmed Alameen, the developer, initially pursued writing and filmmaking. A college collaboration idea for a game fizzled, but the story remained. Alameen, teaching himself 3D modeling and Unreal Engine, brought his vision to life solo. Even the title itself was a collaborative effort with his wife.
The game plunges players into a world steeped in ancient Mesopotamian mythology, brimming with secrets, puzzles, and surprises. Players assume the role of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old mystery surrounding her father's disappearance. The truth, as the story unfolds, is far from straightforward.
My Father Lied masterfully blends ancient Mesopotamian tales with modern narratives. The intuitive point-and-click gameplay, coupled with stunning 2D visuals and 360-degree imagery, ensures an engaging experience.
