Hazelight Games announced that their latest co-op adventure game, Split Fiction, has continued its impressive start by selling 2 million copies within just one week of its launch. Released on March 6 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S, the game has quickly established itself as another triumph for the studio. In a social media post, Hazelight expressed being "blown away" by the overwhelming support from both new and returning fans.

The studio previously reported that Split Fiction reached a significant milestone with 1 million copies sold just 48 hours after its release. This means that an additional million copies were sold in the subsequent five days, highlighting the game's rapid growth in popularity. The game's dual-protagonist narrative, featuring characters Mio and Zoe in a gripping sci-fi setting, has clearly resonated with gamers worldwide.

As a cooperative game, Split Fiction likely has engaged far more players than the number of units sold, thanks to its innovative Friend's Pass feature. This allows one player to buy the game and invite a friend to play for free, potentially doubling the game's reach.
