April 9

  • SHIFT UP and figure manufacturer JND Studios have opened pre-orders for their 1/3 scale hyper-realistic figures of EVE and Tachy on April 18. The Dual Set, priced at $3,599, sold out within minutes of release, while limited quantities remain for the individual EVE figure at $2,199. The statues are expected to ship in Q3 2026.

April 9

  • JND Studios will produce officially licensed, high-quality figurines of Stellar Blade’s protagonist Eve and the eighth boss Tachy. This collaboration with Shift-Up was first announced in July 2024, and on April 8, 2025, JND confirmed which characters would be featured. These collectible figures are set for a late-2025 release.

February 12

  • During the most recent State of Play presentation, Shift Up revealed that Stellar Blade will launch on PC in June 2025. Additionally, the studio confirmed that the Goddess of Victory: Nikke DLC will arrive in the same month, featuring a new boss encounter, collectible dolls and stickers, and an exclusive outfit.

  • In celebration of the studio’s success following the release of *Stellar Blade*, Shift Up has gifted every employee a PlayStation 5 Pro console and a shared bonus fund totaling ¥1,000,000 per person (approximately $32,000). This generous reward follows the strong reception of the studio's debut console title in 2023, which received critical acclaim and multiple Game Awards nominations.

December 17

  • As part of PlayStation Blog's Game of the Year 2024 Awards, Eve from Stellar Blade won the Best New Character award. She shared the honor with Jane Harrow (*Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*), Emmrich Volkarin (*Dragon Age: The Veilguard*), and Ryoma Sakamoto (*Rise of the Rōnin*), who collectively received the majority of votes. Notable write-in mentions included Metaphor: ReFantazio’s Strohl, Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail’s Wuk Lamat, and Helldivers 2’s General Brasch.

December 16

  • On December 17, 2024, Stellar Blade launched a festive holiday event in Xion, transforming the city square and The Last Gulp gathering hall with vibrant decorations, a large Christmas tree, and ambient lighting. The event introduced two new BGM tracks—“Dawn (Winter)” and “Take Me Away”—to enhance the celebratory mood. Additionally, a seasonal mini-game was added, offering players engaging challenges and in-game rewards.

November 26

  • Shift Up released a patch addressing issues caused by the Stellar Blade x Nier Automata update. While the free update added themed cosmetics and a new Photo Mode, it also led to crashes and missing costume items. The hotfix improved Photo Mode stability and restored missing Nier Automata outfits, ensuring players can fully enjoy the content without disruption.

  • Following the positive reception of Stellar Blade, Shift Up Studio’s technical director Donki Lee announced two major updates on November 11, 2024.
  • The first update (version 1.009.001) is a free patch adding four new outfits and one accessory—unlockable via an in-game ending—as well as expanded lip-sync support and a new photo mode feature.
  • Secondly, Lee confirmed the development of the game’s first paid DLC—a crossover with NieR: Automata. Collaboratively designed by Directors Kim Hyung Tae and Yoko Taro, this DLC represents a creative partnership rooted in mutual admiration between both studios.
