Tribe Nine to Cease Operations Months After Global Debut

Akatsuki Games has revealed that their latest title, Tribe Nine, will end service soon. Launched on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam in February, the game’s abrupt closure raises questions. Read on to uncover the reasons behind this decision.

When Will Tribe Nine Shut Down?

Tribe Nine’s servers will close on November 27, 2025. Akatsuki Games also confirmed that Chapter 4 of the main storyline will not be released, despite recent teasers hinting at future content. This news has left fans disappointed.

Since May 15, all planned updates, features, bug fixes, and new content have been canceled. Previously announced in-game adjustments or additions are no longer happening.

Two characters, Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba, slated to join the roster, will not be introduced.

Refunds will be processed for Paid Enigma Entities used on Armed Support, Advanced Support, and the Support Contract – Revenio. These will be issued after the Revenio contract concludes.

Purchases of Enigma Entities or Daily Passes are now disabled across the app and web store. However, players can continue using existing Enigma Entities until the game’s final shutdown.

What Led to Its Early Demise?

Tribe Nine, a free-to-play extreme action RPG, boasted a distinctive style and immersive world. Despite its strengths, the game struggled from the outset.

A sluggish release schedule delivered only one story chapter and one event in three months. Additionally, the game’s monetization model allowed players to build strong teams with minimal spending, reducing the need for duplicate pulls. While player-friendly, this approach proved unsustainable for the developers.

Opting for a gacha model was a risky move for Tribe Nine, and it ultimately didn’t succeed. The game remains playable until November 27, so visit the Google Play Store to experience it while it lasts.
