InZOI's game director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has unveiled intriguing details about the game's paranormal elements. Players will gain limited control over ghosts, a mechanic linked to a karma system tracking character actions and impacting their lives, even beyond death.

Good deeds ensure a peaceful afterlife, while negative karma condemns characters to an afterlife as restless spirits. These ghosts must then accumulate missing karma points to finally transcend the mortal realm.

While ghost control is planned for a later update (ghosts will be present, but non-playable, in early access), the developer assures that InZOI's core focus remains on realistic gameplay, with paranormal elements serving as supplementary features. The possibility of introducing additional unexplained phenomena in the future has also been hinted at.
