Director Finds Switch 2 Port "Intriguing"

Following the triumph of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Sandfall Interactive is considering a Switch 2 release. In a May 2 interview with French YouTuber mistermv, Director Guillaume Broche discussed the studio’s next steps after a remarkable launch.

He noted that the game’s success has reshaped their strategy, stating, "The game’s achievements have shifted our perspective entirely, prompting us to rethink our plans."

When questioned about a Switch 2 version, Broche revealed the team is navigating numerous opportunities. "It’s early days, but we’re seeing a flood of possibilities—almost too many—and we’re carefully deciding our next steps. A Switch 2 release is certainly an exciting prospect," he shared.

With the Switch 2 launch on the horizon, it seems fitting for this year’s top-rated game to join Nintendo’s new console. Fans will need to wait to see if the Belle Époque-inspired RPG will arrive on the platform.

Official Merchandise in the Works

Sandfall Interactive is fielding a surge of requests, including demand for official merchandise featuring the fan-favorite character Esquie. The studio cautioned fans about unofficial plushies sold online, noting in a May 14 Twitter (X) post, "Any Esquie plushies sold on third-party websites are not officially licensed."

They warned that many of these unauthorized items use AI-generated artwork and may be scams. However, Sandfall is actively exploring the creation of official Esquie plushies.

The studio’s post continued, "We’re excited to share that we’re working on official Esquie plushies and aim to deliver them soon. Please be patient and avoid potential scams in the meantime!"

The enthusiasm for Expedition 33 remains high, and Sandfall’s recent tweet suggests official merchandise is on the way. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Check our article below for the latest game updates!
