Whether you're craving extraterrestrial adventures, feeling unnerved by oversized infants, or even encountering animated adult toys with a peculiar twist, Love, Death + Robots Vol 4 has something for everyone. This eclectic anthology series is set to captivate viewers with ten new animated shorts, premiering on Netflix on May 5.

Love, Death + Robots Vol 4 Teaser Trailer

5 ImagesNetflix has tantalized fans with a teaser trailer that packs the series' signature punch of stunning visuals and intriguing, offbeat concepts. In just a minute of footage, a few standouts caught our eye:

  • A grandiose space battle or cataclysmic event
  • A puppet rock band rocking out
  • An adult toy, brought to life with oversized eyes in claymation
  • A priest strolling alongside a tentacled alien on a beach
  • A tormented woman, possibly bionic, accompanied by an adorable fuzzball
  • Giant, menacing babies
  • Dinosaurs clashing in a prehistoric showdown
  • An alien invasion depicted through detailed miniatures
  • A disgusted voyeuristic cat

The series boasts an impressive lineup of talent behind the scenes. Deadpool director Tim Miller and Seven and The Social Network director David Fincher serve as executive producers. Jennifer Yuh Nelson, known for her work on Kung Fu Panda 2 and Shrek Forever After, returns as the supervising director.

"If the legacy of Love, Death + Robots is that there are a handful, fifteen people, ten years from now who became directors or became animators or became motion capture performers or doing voice work because they were such big Love, Death + Robots fans, that's all I care about right now," Fincher shared in a 2022 interview with Collider.

"This show was never going to pay for your Gulf Stream. You're either here because you want to be here or you're not here. We're hoping desperately to get to waste more of our lives toiling in obscurity."
