Although MindsEye launched recently on June 10, it has already attracted numerous complaints concerning bugs, graphical glitches, and performance problems. Players across various social media channels have shared their feedback, voicing disappointment with the game's current state.
On Twitter (X), user Synth Potato posted a glitched screenshot of a character on June 11, remarking that "MindsEye is not looking too good." Others echoed this sentiment, noting severe stuttering issues even while playing on high-end hardware like the PlayStation 5 Pro.
Several video clips showcasing these bugs went viral, featuring enemies wandering aimlessly during combat, NPCs crashing and glitching heavily, players falling endlessly through the map, and more. Consequently, MindsEye has earned "Mixed" reviews on Steam, with negative feedback accounting for 60% of all ratings.
At Game8, we awarded MindsEye a score of 46 out of 100 due to its bug-ridden, unoptimized nature, describing it as a less-than-ideal release. Despite the ambitious promise from publisher IO Interactive, the title was hindered by performance issues and required more time to refine its core mechanics and features.
