Shift Up has officially confirmed a full sequel to Stellar Blade.
The action game, published by PlayStation, debuted in April 2024 to widespread acclaim, with players praising its blend of NieR: Automata and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice gameplay.
Shift Up, the South Korean developer, revealed plans for a Stellar Blade sequel in a chart outlining future projects, included in its latest financial report released today.
A presentation slide detailing Shift Up’s franchise expansion strategy lists the Stellar Blade sequel as the next major release, expected before 2027, alongside other upcoming titles.
Ahead of the sequel, Shift Up noted a "platform expansion" for Stellar Blade, likely referring to the game’s PC version, slated for release on June 11, 2025.
Within the same timeframe, Shift Up will also launch Project Witches, a new multiplatform action RPG that remains under wraps.

Earlier this week, Shift Up addressed a PC region lock issue with Sony, which had restricted the game’s Steam store page in over 100 countries, stating discussions are ongoing.
“Stellar Blade shines as a visually stunning and meticulously crafted action game, though it has notable flaws,” IGN noted in its review of the title.
“Its narrative and characters feel shallow, and some RPG elements, like repetitive sidequests, lack depth, often requiring players to revisit levels with little variation or reward.
“Yet, its combat, inspired by Sekiro’s precision, carries the experience, bolstered by a robust system, a variety of grotesque enemies, and rewarding exploration incentives.”
