Developers May Offer All Mechs for Free in Mecha BREAK

The multiplayer mech action title Mecha BREAK recently concluded its Steam open beta on March 16, gathering insightful player responses. During the beta, the game reached a peak of over 300,000 concurrent users and currently ranks as the 5th most wishlisted game on Steam.

Amazing Seasun, the Chinese studio behind the game, is evaluating potential changes—such as how Break Strikers (mechs) are obtained and how mech modules function in 3v3 and 6v6 competitive matches. While the team sees the live service model as the right foundation for launch and long-term growth, no final decisions have been made yet.

Initially, players had access to just one Break Striker at the start, with additional mechs unlockable via in-game currency earned through matches. Progressing through multiple matches to collect enough credits, however, could mean a lengthy grind before acquiring all 12 mechs.
