Players will have the ability to customize various aspects of the game, including enemy difficulty, damage output, projectile speed, the amount of damage they can withstand, as well as the game's tempo, aggression level, and parry timing. This level of customization is designed to cater to a broad range of player preferences and skill levels.

Stratton also assured fans that the narratives of DOOM: The Dark Ages and DOOM: Eternal can be enjoyed independently, without the need to have played the former to understand the latter.
